Rail-Mil Computers, part of the Polish Kombud Group, has entered into a partnership with South Korea-based STraffic to work on railway and subway control systems. The collaboration covers projects in South Korea, which has a railway network exceeding 4,000 km, including 625 km of high-speed lines. The Seoul Metropolitan Railway System, a key part of the capital’s transport infrastructure, spans over 1,300 km.
STraffic, headquartered in Seongnam-si, provides solutions for urban mobility across railway and road infrastructure. The company reported revenue of approximately USD 100 million in 2023 and has completed projects in 13 countries. It is also listed on the Seoul Stock Exchange.
Kombud Group has been active in railway technology for over 34 years, implementing station systems for rail and metro networks and supplying level crossing systems. The company’s computer-based interlocking (IXL) systems manage operations on Poland’s Central Railway Main Line (CMK), Warsaw’s railway junction, and both lines of the Warsaw Metro.
Its subsidiary, Rail-Mil Computers, manufactures the rmCBTC® system for automated train operations, along with eurobalises, LEU encoders, and other electronic components.
