Spanning Eurasia, Central Europe and East to West, the new routes will support the EU's goal of doubling rail freight by 2050.

Transporeon and RCG have announced an expanded collaboration. The two companies are expanding their joint services to include new rail corridors. Customers can now shift their transport operations to less carbon-intensive rail and multimodal chains, where the long haul is carried out by rail and the first and last kilometers are handled flexibly by truck, ensuring convenient delivery to and from the customer's desired location. In line with the European Union's goal of doubling rail freight traffic by 2050, cooperation with Transporeon is a logical step.

The expanded collaboration introduces several new rail routes across Eurasia, Central Europe and East-West corridors. Key routes now available include

1. Eurasia:

Belgium – Western Turkey

North Rhine-Westphalia – Western Turkey

Central Hungary – Western Turkey

2. Central Europe:

Lower Saxony – Veneto

North Rhine-Westphalia – Veneto

Eastern Austria and Hungary – Veneto

3. East to West:

Central Serbia  – North Rhine-Westphalia

Western Romania – Belgium

Transporeon's transport management platform users can access their RCG shipments and benefit from unprecedented amounts of high-quality data. Key features include real-time tracking (real-time visibility). Through the Transporeon platform, shippers can use telematics to track their rail shipments in real-time. In addition, Transporeon offers a calculation of the CO2 footprint under CountEmissionsEU.
