Today, on 12.06.2024, the second day of the biggest Czech rail trade show begins. Rail Business Days 2024 are ongoing in Trojhalí Karolina in Ostrava. While the conference will mostly deal with the leitmotif of the conference - cooperation with Poland, there are several presentations in the individual stands of the companies too. DB Cargo will present its Slovakia Shuttle single wagonload project, as well as the project of international train drivers. Škoda Group will present energy saving on their EMU delivered to Latvia, while Stadler will present the FLIRT unit for Srbijavoz. ČD Cargo will have its presentation too.
During the entire day, visitors will be able to observe rolling stock on display in the outdoor exhibition. Railmarket is here to digitalize the most interesting items for you:
Budimex presents its universal tamping machine from Plasser Theurer - UNIMAT 09 4x8/4S DYNAMIC.
Stadler presents one of the 18 new four-car FLIRT units by Serbian Srbijavoz as an addition to 24 units already in operation in Serbia.
After recent show-up at the VUZ Velim testing centre, Škoda Group has officially unveiled its battery and electric multiple units (BEMU) for České dráhy. These units will first be deployed exactly in the region surrounding Ostrava.
Freight rail counterpart belonging to the same ČD Group, ČD Cargo, brought the first out ten newly ordered Siemens Vectron locomotives that will carry the livery of special Czech personalities. The first one, 383 013, carries the livery of Jan Perner, Czech rail engineer responsible for constuction of several railway lines in the Austrian Empire in the 19th century. The company also brough the Alstom Traxx MS3 locomotive and Innofreight Sggrrs wagon displaying high-capacity wood transport.
CZ LOKO brought the second-made DualShunter 2000 for Mercitalia Shunting & Terminal. While the first prototype arrived in Italy couple of days ago, the remaining two locomotives from the initial order are in the production halls of CZ LOKO in Jihlava. A period of through testing at VUZ Velim and on tracks will follow before the vehicle approval for operations. Also on display is the latest EffiShunter 1000 for rail construction company, Hrochostroj.
Plasser Theurer is also visible with the MTW 100 vehicle for installation and maintenance of catenary lines, made for Czech rail infrastructure manager, Správa železnic.
Last but not least, on 11.06.2024, the external exhibition star was the Slovenská strela, legendary diesel unit that used to operate between Prague and Bratislava with the speed of 130 km/h already in 1936. Its unique design made it a legend and DAKO-CZ, the only Czech manufacturer of braking systems and components (and a member of the CSG Group just like Tatra Trucks the unit manufacturer) brought it to the fair as the highlight.
Rail Business Days 2024 will continue to be open for public by 13.06.2024.
