By the end of the year, Budamar will receive 60 new wagons designed for transporting agricultural products, with the first units entering service now.
In response to increased demand for agricultural commodity transport from southern Europe and Ukraine, Budamar has expanded its fleet with Tagnpps wagons produced by Tatravagónka Poprad. These covered hopper wagons are specifically developed to transport agricultural products while protecting them from weather conditions. Each wagon has a maximum load capacity of up to 70 tons.
The first set of 30 wagons was taken into long-term use from Cargo Wagon at the end of September, with the second set expected to be available at the end of 2024. The wagons feature an orange livery that represents the company.
These wagons are equipped with composite brake blocks for quiet and environmentally friendly operation. They also include monitoring devices for continuous tracking of their location, providing operational staff and customers with precise information on the whereabouts of their goods.
