The partnership addresses ongoing challenges along this corridor and maintains operational reliability for freight forwarders and logistics companies.

Kombiverkehr has restructured its operations on the Duisburg–Wels route by collaborating with FRACHTbahn Traktion.

The Duisburg–Wels route, along with the Ludwigshafen/Munich–Wels connection, forms part of Kombiverkehr's Austrian transport network. Trains on these routes operate three times weekly in both directions, facilitating connections to several European locations.

From Duisburg, Munich, and Ludwigshafen, onward services extend within Germany and to destinations in Sweden, Norway, Benelux, France, and Spain. In Austria, the Wels terminal provides further connections to Vienna, Budapest, and Niš.
