According to Sektor Kolejowy news, PKP Cargo is close to winning a significant contract to provide rail transport services for PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna.

This involves the supply of hard coal to plants belonging to PGE Energia Ciepła SA and ZEW KOGENERACJA SA.

The offer submitted by PKP Cargo was selected as the most advantageous in the tender procedure. The amount proposed by the freight operator is PLN 173.95 million gross.

According to the ordering party's requirements, the railway coal transport is to be carried out in the years 2025-2027. This is another opportunity to improve the situation of PKP Cargo, which is currently in the process of restructuring. Winning such a significant contract will contribute to the carrier's financial stability and strengthen its position on the rail freight market in Poland.
