CER Cargo Holding has taken a step towards expanding its European operations with the establishment of CER Austria Cargo GmbH. The new subsidiary was officially incorporated into the Austrian Corporate Registry on August 30, 2024. Following this, the company plans to apply for an Austrian railway license through the Austrian Ministry of Climate Protection, with a decision expected by April 2025, pending completion of the required documentation.
This move aligns with CER Cargo Holding’s strategy to operate independently along key freight routes from Hamburg to Istanbul and Athens. The group aims to utilize its own resources and railway licenses to support its operations across these corridors. As part of this ongoing plan, the creation of CER Germany Cargo GmbH is also in progress, further broadening the group's presence across Europe.
