Christian has extensive experience in European rail logistics, having served as Managing Director of Wanne-Herner Eisenbahn und Hafen GmbH. Before joining Wascosa, he was Managing Director of Rhenus Ports, responsible for all the Rhenus Group's sea and inland port terminals. Earlier in his career he also worked as a project manager for Deutsche Bahn.
The previous CSO, Irmhild Saabel, will continue to be a member of the Wascosa board, but will gradually hand over responsibility for sales activities to Christian Theis. She will continue to be responsible for business development and will also take over Wascosa's technology department.
