The Department of Railway Transport, Faculty of Operation and Economics of Transport and Communications, University of Žilina is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year.
Therefore, they are planning an event for their partners, alumni, as well as the general public. To celebrate the anniversary, the Department of Railway Transport is organizing the departure of an anniversary train called
"TRAIN 70. KŽD FPEDAS UNIZA."
Lectures and presentations by railway companies such as Budamar Logistics, Czech Railways, SATUM, ZSSK, ČD Cargo, Railtrans International, PKP Cargo International, and RAILVIS.com will be held on board the train throughout the journey.
The Department of Railway Transport is part of the Faculty of Operation and Economics of Transport and Communications. They provide teaching in the study program of railway transport (bachelor's degree, engineering degree, full-time and external form), in the study program of transport services in passenger transport (bachelor's degree), as well as selected disciplines of other study programs of the Faculty of Operation and Economics of Transport and Communications of the University of Žilina. These are mainly disciplines focused on technology, management, and economics of transport and transport activities of the railway and intermodal transport.
