Neo Lox, a rail freight operator based in Bottrop, Germany, has entered into a Full-Service Leasing agreement with European Loc Pool (ELP) for two EuroDual locomotives. The company, established in 2024, focuses on rail freight logistics, including project logistics and track construction transport.

Dual-Power locomotives for flexible operations

The EuroDual locomotives, provided by ELP, are capable of both electric and diesel operation. This dual-mode functionality allows Neo Lox to perform continuous transport across electrified main lines and non-electrified industrial tracks without the need to switch locomotives. The locomotives will be deployed across various operations, including freight transport and construction logistics.

The technology is particularly suited to transport assignments that require seamless transitions between different types of rail infrastructure, such as gravel supply for construction sites. The ability to operate efficiently on mixed infrastructure supports Neo Lox’s transport planning and scheduling.

Full-service leasing arrangement

Under the Full-Service Leasing model, European Loc Pool is responsible for the locomotives’ maintenance, servicing, and insurance throughout the leasing period. This setup provides Neo Lox with defined cost structures and continuous availability of the locomotives.

The Full-Service arrangement aligns with the operator’s requirement for reliable equipment in a dynamic freight market where operational readiness is essential.
