The vehicles will be produced at the manufacturing site in Reichshoffen, Alsace, which now operates under CAF.
The order includes two train types:
- 5 electric Intercités trains, each with 6 cars and a seating capacity of 355 passengers.
- 9 bi-mode TER trains, each with 4 cars and 228 seats.
The bi-mode configuration allows for operation under both electric and non-electrified conditions, providing flexibility for regional deployment. Intercités units are configured for long-distance regional routes.
All trainsets are designed to meet accessibility requirements. They include enlarged toilet facilities and equipment adapted to improve travel for passengers with reduced mobility. Interior elements feature indirect LED lighting, wide windows, and seats equipped with power outlets, reading lights, and armrests.
The nine TER trains will be delivered with an additional parking brake and prepared infrastructure for the European Train Control System (ETCS), allowing for future integration into standardized signalling environments.
The Coradia Polyvalent platform has seen widespread adoption across multiple French regions, with nearly 450 units ordered and approximately 400 currently in operation. Its modular structure supports various propulsion types and layouts suitable for both TER and Intercités services.
