Both companies aims to establish the EUR pallet system as a global standard.

Pallet Control Tower (PCT) is a Netherlands-based company specialising in pallet and Returnable Transport Item (RTI) management. The new partnership with RCG targets to improve the global management of EUR pallets and other RTIs.

The key point of the partnership is the reintroduction of efficient EUR pallet and RTI exchanges. The PCT eCredits system enables virtual exchanges, facilitating the process not only in Europe but globally.

Europe and other continents

In addition to exchange services, PCT provides options for buying and selling pallets and RTIs across regions including America, EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa), and Asia-Pacific. Through its PCT-Online platform, users can list or request pallets and other RTIs, with the platform helping to identify suitable matches.

Positioning EUR Pallets as a Global Standard

The collaboration is to a preparation for upcoming regulatory changes, including so-called EU's Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR). This regulation emphasises the need for compliant RTIs when exporting to the EU.

The use of API (Application Programming Interface) technology within PCT’s platform supports the digitalisation of pallet logistics. RCG hopes this partnership will help establish the EUR pallet system as a global standard, while also promoting intermodal transport across international markets.
