Priveq acquires majority stake in Swedish railway service provider ProTrain

Swedish railway service provider ProTrain has announced Priveq as its new majority owner. The company's CEO, Karl Johan Börjeson, along with other current owners, will retain a minority shareholding.

Founded in 2001, ProTrain provides railway traffic services, staffing, and training, operating in both Sweden and Norway. The company has grown significantly, with revenues increasing from EUR 1.75 million in 2013 to over EUR 22.7 million. It employs around 150 people and serves both public and private clients.

While specific terms of the transaction were not disclosed, the investment aligns with ProTrain's plans to expand its presence in Sweden and explore opportunities in international markets.
